Silicon Etchant for Solar Cell |

A new silicon etchant for solar cell has been researched and developed by Shuguang Chemical Co., Ltd., Wujiang, Jiangsu. The characteristic product has sophisticated technology getting Chinese patent 200910115848.8.
Some obvious advantage are that 1) uniform pyramid formation on silicon surface 2) high percentage of finished product, 3) long life for use, 4) no volatile materials to poison people, 5) less liquid waste, 6) simple and convenient operation, 7) low cost.
Ⅰ. Operation
1) Put etchant into a vessel to heat to about 85℃.
2) Mix 3-5 minutes with cycle pump or nitrogen.
3) Keep about 85℃ for 20minutes after laying down silicon slices, and the temperature must be within ±1℃.
4) The method of washing silicon is as same as the traditional.
5) Add 48% KOH 7.5kg per 1000 pieces of silicon from third, once two lots, then mixing 3-5 minutes again. 1000L etchant can be used for 120000 pieces of silicon.
Ⅱ. Storage
1) Keep in the cool and ventilative place away from sunshine.
2) Seal the covers of drums.
3) Quality term 6 months.
Ⅲ. Liquid waste treatment
1) Neutralize to PH8-9 with inorganic acid.
2) Dilute with three times of water, then treat to COD<100PPM using bioaeration. |
