Our production of Safrole oil are produced from laurel leaves and branches, extracted through steam distillation, its appearance is light yellow to red and yellow liquid with a strong fragrance.
Relative density: 1.065 ~ 1.077 (25/25 ℃).
Refractive Index: 1.5250 ~ 1.5350 (20 ℃).
Rotation: +2 o ~ +4 o.
it is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, ether, chloroform and acetic acid. Main ingredient is safrole, content reaches to 80%. And it also includes eugenol, camphor, and pinene, etc.. Safrole oil commonly used as fungicides and preservatives in medicine and preparation of drinks, sweets, soap and other flavors as well. |
